New Webinar on the Role of Digital Tools in Scaling Water Innovations
NAMOR’s sister project DECIRE-WATER is hosting the Webinar “Can Digital Tools Accelerate the Replication of Innovative Water Solutions?” on July 8, 2026 from 14:30 to 15:00. This virtual event will bring together experts from WATERSENS, CARDIMED, and AQUAMON, to address one of the most persistent challenges in the water sector: the successful replication of innovative solutions across diverse regions.
While many water management solutions perform exceptionally well at their initial pilot sites, the industry frequently struggles to transfer these successes to new locations. This difficulty often stems from variations in local environmental conditions, differing governance frameworks, inconsistent data availability, and unique stakeholder landscapes. This upcoming session aims to explore how digital tools can act as a bridge, allowing successful technologies to be adapted and scaled effectively regardless of local complexities.
The program features a distinguished panel of experts who are currently leading the charge in digital water transition. Jesús Fernández Águila, an R&D Engineer from the ITG Technology Center representing the WATERSENS project, will offer insights into advanced technological frameworks. He will be joined by Thomas Pappas, an Associate Researcher at the Athena Research Center representing the AQUAMON project, and Maximiliano Oportus Foster, a Water Resources Engineer from Cetaqua representing CARDIMED.
During the ninety-minute session, these speakers will showcase the latest developments from their respective projects. The discussion will highlight specific digital tools and technologies designed to support the replication of water solutions across varied environmental and governance contexts. By sharing practical outcomes and lessons learned from their own project sites, the panelists will demonstrate how digital innovation can lead to greater climate resilience and more efficient water resource management.
